About AMCS

Alaska Middle College School (AMCS) is a collaboration between the Anchorage School District and the University of Alaska Anchorage. 

• Students completing college coursework will earn an ASD high school diploma and credits toward a certificate or degree.
• AMCS is a choice school for junior and senior high school students.  
• Students build college readiness skills to achieve success at college-level academics.
• AMCS is an immersion program where students attend classes at the University of Alaska, Anchorage Campus.

Mission

Alaska Middle College School is an immersion, dual enrollment program that offers opportunities for college-ready students to enroll in university courses in a collegiate setting while ensuring the completion of a high school diploma.
